When my partner first mentioned the hypnobirthing to me I was skeptical. I do not think that the name does it justice as my initial thought was that it would involve some level of stage hypnosis. However having read further into it and seeing how keen my partner was to complete the course I approached it with an open mind. I am glad that I did as the course was not what I expected at all. It was very informative on the science behind a natural birth and how to ensure that both mum and baby had a relaxing experience. From a birth partner point of view the course was good at giving some tips and information to implement at the various stages of labour, as well as relaxation techniques which the birth partner can take part and help in. Angela was very informative and answered all of the groups questions thoroughly, I would definitely recommend her and the hypnobirthing course to anyone who may be considering it but may also be skeptical like I was.
